Birthday Party Packz!

Merry Christmas everyone, I hope that all of you had a wonderful time with your family and friends. I am enjoying a little time off and I have been working on something very exciting: themed birthday party packz! Jenn and I realized that there seems to be a shortage of really adorable, handmade birthday party decorations...so we decided to be industrious and begin to make our own! A client recently asked us to create some invitations based on a bug theme, and "Party Bug" was created!

This was a fairly simple invitation to create. I took bright green 12x12 card stock, and cut it into 4 pieces. I used a couple different Cricut cartridges to complete the design. The Designer's Calendar was used to get the word "Party." The stamp I used was originally for a shower, but I simply replaced that with party, and created a great generic stamp to use for invitations. I then used the Walk in my Garden cartridge to create the adorable bugs! Once I cut out all of the images, there were little pieces everywhere, but it was worth it.

There were also so many cute bugs to choose from. The snails, and butterflies, which are not shown, can be used for the favors and the cupcake holders as well. One sample cupcake holder is shown below. I would do a chocolate cupcake, with chocolate "dirt" icing with oreo crumbs, and gummy worms on top!

Each child is able to have their own cupcake, with a unique bug on it. Some party ideas could include: a craft where each child makes finger puppets of their bug and then they perform a play together, or the favors could provide a Fact sheet on that specific bug, with some bug candy! The options are endless with this theme! There are so many ways to customize these packz, and I can't wait to create some more! Next up for me...a TRAIN theme!

Happy Crafting,

Paper Flower Magnets

I have been having SOO much fun these past few months attending craft fairs! I keep seeing all of these wonderful and crafty things, that just make me want to go home and design something new! Mel found an idea for these really cute little clothes pins, which she turned into adorable little magnets(sure to be blogged about here in the very near future)! This gave me this idea to make some cute magnets of my own! I cut out some flowers with my Cricut machine, using different coloured and patterned paper, then I stuck them together, pasted on a button and stuck it to a magnet and VOILA! I just love these so much, I don't want to give any away! I just might though;)
