And now for today's "tweet" little card. This is one of my all-time favorite cards that I have ever made! I can picture giving this card to a young girl on her birthday, or it could be used as a new baby card, or even for that friend that is just "so tweet"! I LOVE everything about this card, from the bird to the patterned paper to the sweet little flower and button! I love it so much that I almost decided not to give it away;)

Grey is the new brown...or so they say! Grey has been popping up everywhere, and some of the color combinations are so trendy and sophisticated; whether it's the sweet and sultry combination of pink and grey, or the ultra cool and modern grey with yellow, grey adds a fashionable touch to anything right now! Today I sat down with my grey and yellow paper and it simply screamed an asian-inspired theme to me. I took out my Pagoda cricut cartridge and used one of the great lanterns on there, and presto the card was born! I love it, if I do say so myself, and I hope you love it too! I am up so late that it is morning now, so I thought I might as well post the next card of the contest! It is a birthday card that could really be for anyone, although I do love the combination of blue and red for a man, it is so bright and fun, without being girly! PLUS...I am slightly obsessed with buttons! Anything that I see with buttons, I fall in love with, and it was due time that I used buttons again for a card design!

Here is the first card for the Design a "Day"sy contest! You can win this card by following the simple steps listed below, or in our previous post. I found a similar layout to this on the internet, and I just loved its simplicity. With Mother's Day coming up, and always lots of birthdays, I made the card "occasion neutral." I find that it is great to have a bunch of cards like this that you can give in a pinch! This card was made with my mom in mind, she LOVES the combination of purple and green! This one's for you mom :)
